Ann (the daughter) is mainly running it with her husband (former big league pitcher, Maek Fydrich). Her mother Nancy has had some health problems in recent years but still comes in from time to time, (last time I was there, December, 2007). Chet’s is still in business run by the same family you remember from the 1980’s although Jimmy (not Chet, Chet was original owner way back) has since passed on.

It was loud, yet cozy. A little back room on the East side of the diner that was at a lower level than the main diner yielded a place where conversations could be had out of the main blast area of the evening's entertainment. The fare was excellent, and it was modestly priced as were drinks. The staff was extremely friendly. Lots of fond memories of Chet's Diner. Though I don't live in MA anymore, I believe it is still in business. I'll have to check next time I'm up for a visit.
